What we could not confirm
- Which terminal is used today (one source says a single terminal)
- Current international schedule
- Taxi fares
Scores
- Getting there
- About 6 km from the centre. A 24-hour airport taxi service and Snapp cover the short ride; no bus was found.
- Terminal and queues
- Terminal 1 is international and Terminal 2 domestic; both are old and small. Ferry passengers for Qeshm and Hormuz often mix in on holidays.
- Connections and transit
- Dubai and Muscat were the foreign routes; the UAE suspended Iranian airlines from 24 September 2026, so only Muscat is likely to be running. Domestic links to Tehran, Mashhad, Shiraz and Isfahan.
- Food, rest, SIM, prayer room
- Prayer room, café and a small shop. Little seating when several flights board together.
- Delays and cancellations
- Follows the national pattern; humidity and summer heat rarely cancel flights but Tehran-side delays carry over.
What is good
- Very close to the city
What is not
- Old, small terminals
- Gulf routes unstable in 2026
Tips
- For Dubai check whether any route is operating before buying; Muscat is the safer Gulf option
- Keep the taxi receipt; airport taxis quote fixed fares
