What we could not confirm

  • Fares, the schedule, the 40-day booking window and 12Go availability: the source returned 401 and the 12Go route page came back empty.
  • Whether the Armenian operator (South Caucasus Railway) sells tickets online.
  • Whether Caucasus bookings on 12Go earn commission; the Travelpayouts coverage list does not include the Caucasus.

How to buy

  1. 1Buy the Tbilisi–Yerevan night train at Tbilisi station, or at Yerevan station for the way back. Booking is said to open 40 days ahead.
  2. 2Bring cash; a foreign card may not be enough.
  3. 3In summer 2026 (14 June to 1 October) it ran every other day. A third-party winter 2026/27 timetable gives Tbilisi 20:00 to Yerevan 06:35.
  4. 4If you must book online, agencies such as 12Go or Georgia Intrend resell it at a markup.

If you cannot pay yourself

Georgia Intrend sells this train online at about $69, $79 or $99 by class (non-refundable), and agent first-class prices can pass $180. 12Go is reported to sell it too, but this was not verified.

About this page: Iranian bank cards do not work on foreign websites. This page is a guide, not a shop: it tells you how people buy each country's train tickets and sends you to the seller. Fares and rules come from public sources on the dates shown and can change. Check the official site before you travel. Trains that start inside Iran are affected by the 2026 conflict; make sure they are running.
