Card rule unverifiedIranian cards do not workVerify before you plan
Indian Railways (IRCTC) · Foreigners register on IRCTC with a passport, a foreign mobile number and a foreign card. A registration fee of ₹100 plus GST is reported. An Iranian card or phone number will not do; you need a non-Iranian card and a non-Indian mobile number.

What we could not confirm
- The ₹100 + GST fee and the 365-day Foreign Tourist Quota window; the embassy PDF failed to load (expired certificate) and IRCTC's advance period has changed several times.
- Whether 12Go or Trip.com actually resell Indian trains and on which routes.
- No IRCTC affiliate programme was found.
How to buy
- 1Create an IRCTC account with your passport, a non-Indian mobile number and a non-Iranian card; a ₹100 + GST fee is reported.
- 2Foreign Tourist Quota seats are reported bookable up to 365 days ahead; check the current rule, it changes often.
- 3If registration is too hard, try a reseller such as 12Go, whose affiliate coverage list includes India.

If you cannot pay yourself
A reseller such as 12Go books with its own system, so you only need a working foreign card; whether it covers your route is unverified. A friend abroad with an IRCTC account can also book for you.
