Visa and entry
Bahrain: entry rules for Iranians
Verify
Our sources disagree or are not official: confirm with the embassy before booking.
Rule for Iranian nationals not confirmed on any official Bahraini page on the check date; treat Bahrain as visa in advance through a sponsor until verified.
Checked 5 November 2026Secondary sources only
What we could not confirm
- Whether Iranian nationals can use the Bahrain eVisa, the fee (secondary sources quote about 9 to 29 BHD) and the stay length (14, 30 or 90 days in different sources) are all unconfirmed.
- The official Bahraini portal and the NPRA site could not be opened; no official page was read that mentions Iran.
- Bahrain has one international airport (BAH), so the airports list is shorter than usual.
At a glance
- Fee
- No fee reported
How to apply: Reported: a sponsor in Bahrain (relative, company or hotel) applies for a visit visa with Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs; confirm the current route before paying for anything.
Official pageConditions
- The Bahrain eVisa portal (evisa.gov.bh, Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs) returned 403 on the check date, so its eligibility list for Iranian nationals could not be read.
- Secondary sources disagree: several say Iranians are not eligible for the eVisa or visa on arrival and need a sponsored visa through a Bahraini host, while some commercial agencies claim an eVisa is possible. Do not book on the assumption of an eVisa.
- Iran and Bahrain have had no resident embassies since 2016; check with the Bahraini mission that covers Iran or your host in Bahrain before planning.
Plan the trip
Before you book
- Your passport should be valid for at least six months after the trip; many borders refuse less.
- Exit tax is paid before leaving Iran; the amount depends on how many trips you made this year.
- Iranian bank cards do not work abroad: plan cash or a card from outside Iran.
