Official pageConditions
- Iran is not on Belarus's general visa-free list or its 68-country e-visa list, so an ordinary Iranian passport needs a visa from a Belarusian embassy.
- Exception: up to 30 days visa-free through Minsk National Airport (and five regional airports) only if you hold a valid multiple-entry EU or Schengen visa already used to enter that area.
- For that airport route you also need a ticket out within 30 days, a passport valid 90 days beyond departure, enough money and medical insurance of at least 10,000 euros.
- The airport visa-free route does not apply to flights from or to Russia.
- An embassy short-term (C) visa allows up to 90 days; the fee is 60 euros, doubled for a decision within 2 working days.
- Embassy applications need a form, one 35x45 mm photo, passport, visa support document (such as an invitation or tour voucher) and medical insurance.
- If you stay more than 10 working days you must register; hotels do this for you at check-in.

Before you book
- Your passport should be valid for at least six months after the trip; many borders refuse less.
- Exit tax is paid before leaving Iran; the amount depends on how many trips you made this year.
- Iranian bank cards do not work abroad: plan cash or a card from outside Iran.
